We're going a little crazy here today packing; every year I start later and later. My kids are nearly beside themselves with joy that we're leaving tomorrow. For the past 2 weeks at least, every time I tell Trent we have to do something (i.e. do a load of laundry, go to the store, cook dinner, etc), he says, and then go to World's End, right? Now I can finally answer him yes! :-)

Also, Trent has informed me all on his own that he has 2 "imag-ery" friends named Aunt Anna and Aunt Jo, not to be confused with the actual Aunts of those same names. He'll very adamantly tell you that they are very different from Anna and Joanna Manthey. They go with us everywhere, and they squeeze together in the seat next to him in the jogging stroller when I run. They're coming with us to World's End, of course. I take that to mean he misses his aunts very much, and will be glad to see them this week!!

the vocapeople

http://www.dailymotion.com/relevance/search/neo/video/x8spdx_the-voca-people_music

OK so I know I haven't posted anything in forever, I kind of forgot I had a blog. But, Ken reminded me on Sunday so I thought I should do some updates. Unfortunately, the only thing I have right now is this video that my kids are completely obsessed with. A friend posted this on facebook and I watched it in front of my kids, and that was the end. They ask me all day if we can watch the vocapeople. We finish watching it and they say again, again!! So all in all we've watched it probably 2 million times, it seems. Or close to it anyway.

It's been so long since I've done this I kind of forget how and I bet everybody has given up even reading it since there's never anything new to read. Anyway, lots of things happened since my last post. I went to Washington D.C. with one of my best friends Lindsey and had a fabulous time, the crazy holidays came and went and were excellent, I went skiing and hated it, the Eagles just missed being in the Super Bowl, :-( , Trent peed on the potty!!!!!!! , Matt started school, (lots of studying, not enough sleep), and many many other things that I forget right now because it's 12:30 and I'm tired.

My goal for this week is to get Trent to go on the potty every day, to work out at least 4 times, and to maybe keep up with my laundry. Lofty ambitions, I know, but believe me the Trent saga will take up at least three quarters of my day so the rest will be icing on the cake. The other day after he was finished coloring on his thank-you cards, he tried to line them up in a pattern on the table and threw such a fit because they kept touching each other. He hit his head on the table several times and bit a few of the cards in sheer frustration. Life is never dull.

Trent's Birthday

I thought I would put up a few pics of Trent's b-day. Matt came home from hunting that day, so it was extra-special. Although I think Trent was really only excited to see him because it meant we were going to Chuck-E-Cheese!!

Well I know it's been awhile since I've posted anything. So much going on! Nothing terribly exciting, just a lot of day-to-day busyness. We had a nice, quiet civilized Thanksgiving with Matt's family. The kids helped me bake rolls. They're such helpers! Something apparently upset Trent and he had a tantrum and took his sock off. I have no idea why he does that, or pretty much anything else that he does, for that matter.

Well, Lana has strep throat. Poor girl! Her throat, neck and head hurt. She's existing on applesauce, chicken soup and pudding. Thank goodness I just made 35 quarts of applesauce, she's already gone through one just herself! She is devestated that she missed school yesterday and today. Oh, the tears. You would've thought she was missing Christmas. I wonder how long that will last.

Last night Lana was FINALLY able to put on her costume (princess, of course) and go out trick-or-treating. Trent refused to wear a costume, surprise surprise, but he had camo pants on and carried his pop gun, while Matt wore his full hunting gear and carried the other pop gun. He was a little scary. Somehow, people still gave Trent candy even though he totally wasn't dressed up. I told him he was cheating, but I don't think he cared. Some other little kids came with us (Ruthie, Joanna and John) who I think had just as much fun. Especially Ruthie. She held Trent's bag for him and he had to keep reminding her that it wasn't HER candy, she was just holding it for him. Fun times. And way too much chocolate. Ugh. Extra minutes on the elliptical, here I come!

Today I'm spending the day making applesauce with Ashley. Sounds exciting, I know, but I've barely had 2 minutes to talk to Ash in the past 6 months, so I've been looking forward to this day for months!
